Pennsylvania Gravel Company

Stankonia

What does love smell like? The journey to the answer begins in Trexlertown. Recently, the legend himself, Dave Pryor, took us on a mixed surface ride through the boundless rolling hills northwest of the Velodrome. While we advise you to #sellyourroadbike, this route is suitable for tires of 28mm or greater, but don't blame us if you get six flats (you know who you are 😜). The route features 14 gravel sectors and is approximately 60% pavé and 40% gravé.

Notable Gravel Sectors

Cemetery Road

A short, but precipitous descent down to Old U.S. 22. Legend has it that the cemetery is filled with all the roadies who've died descending it. 😵 #rideitroadie

Heffner Road

No Playboy bunnies here, just a chunky gravel climb that leads you passed a spaceship-esque device used by the airport for navigation, weather and mind control. 👽

Valley Road

Meanders serenely beside Lyon Creek and features some rad yart (that’s short for yard art). 👩‍🎨

Frey Road

This is the Pièce De Résistance of this route. A wooded gravel climb opens up to jaw dropping 180º views of the valley. Smells like shit though! 💩

Ullrich Mill Road

This one kicks like a jackass at the end. 📈

Pine Tree Road

Checks out. There were pine trees. The aroma of this one makes up for the stank on Frey. 🌲

Farrier Road

A Farrier puts shoes on horses, but this one will knock your socks and shoes off. 🐴

Tercha Road

This road will make you think you’re riding in Oklahoma, but you’re not, at least we don’t think so. 🤔
