Some may call it revisionism. Some recall the golden age before the advent of the steel horse. We bask in the glory of the path. Before there were roads, there was gravel and our beautiful state of Pennsylvania is chock full of it.
While we continue our vision quest to answer the age-old question “Is this gravel?”, we seek to take you along. We want to share the routes, show you the faces, tell you the tales and spread the word of Pennsylvania Gravel. So, take a toke, throw a frosty beer in your hip pack and join us, won’t you? 🤙
Charles Bukowski once said: "Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead." We couldn't agree more which is why we built this epic mixed terrain route through northern Chester County connecting our favorite gravel, grass track, single track, and country roads.
“Well, Hootenanny is the only record of theirs where it seems like they may not make it to the end of the album, so ragged and reckless it is.” A quote from a review of The Replacements' Hootenanny record, but also very apropos for a recent adventure with Baron Von Fancypants on his Hootenanny route.
What does love smell like? The journey to the answer begins in Trexlertown. Recently, the legend himself, Dave Pryor, took us on a mixed surface ride through the boundless rolling hills northwest of the Velodrome.
Two PAGC badges and a few slogans that might only make sense to us. We'll also include a postcard prominently featuring one (or more) of our butts on some beautiful Pennsylvania gravel road.
Our take on the Pennsylvania Dutch Hex signs that are so prevalent on the barns of Southeastern PA. This tee is comfy, green, splattered with occult symbolism, and has a f*%king chest pocket for snacks, tools, pocket sized Necronomicons, or other necessary adventure provisions 😉!
Have you ever ridden by a road sign on some gorgeous Pennsylvania gravel road and said "I'd love to slap that on something"? Now's your chance! A few road signs, a PAGC badge and some weird slogan. Slap away!
